January is a jet!

It must be, as the month is FLYING by...There was a song some years back where the main line was "we sure could use a little good news today". This seems like a good time for someone to re-release it...
Autumn finishes basketball this weekend with the Jr High tournament, and then starts softball the following Monday. The West Orange CofC softball team is now 0-3, and we have been "run ruled" all three games. We have a recreational approach to a very competitive league :( We did have a good mens retreat last weekend and Pete and I had a lot of laughs as always. WO is hosting a big SuperBowl tailgate party on Sunday, complete with projection viewing, inside and outside. Plus, a punt, pass and kick contest.
I think I read on a Kyle Mitchell blog, where he was in a life is good moment, with a new Wilbur Smith book. It took me a while to get around to it, but I am now zipping through the full inventory of Mr Smith's novels. Kyle was right. And, while it worries my missionary pal David Carter, I have really enjoyed reading all the Nicholas Sparks books, even if they are of the Romance genre.
Cousin Tyler leased an apartment in Orlando, so my male bonding moments appear to be in the rear view.
Life is good, but We could sure use a little good new today.
